Job Description

Job Purpose

Field-level monitoring of the project activities including the training, data collection, and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Compliance of Policies, Guidelines, and Manuals

•   Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal (Personnel, Financial, Administrative policy manual; Security Response  Guide;  Gender  Equality  and  Social  Inclusion  Guide;  Sexual  Harassment  & Mobbing Policy; Code of Conduct Against Corruption etc.) and other specific policies applicable for the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal;

•   Adhere to the policies and rules of the Government of Nepal and the donor agency

•   Contribute to Conflict Sensitive Programme Management at all levels.

Planning, field monitoring and evaluation of training programs

•   Responsible  for  data  gathering,  district/regional  level  training  facilitation,  coordination, scheduling, sampling, timely submission of all forms, reports;

•   Timely monitoring of the field level training implementation at all level, ensure the effective and efficient program implementation;

•   Assessment of risk at operational, output & outcome level to ensure the program outcome achievement;

•   Supervise quality ensuring that T&Es are involved fully possible in undertaking monitoring work;

•   Conduct monitoring activities to the assigned partners and training providers;

•   Participate in and contribute to the discussion on quality improvement and resolution of various issues;

•   Contribute to efficient and effective implementation of project activities;

•   Share experiences openly and provide constructive suggestion.

Coordination, documentation and reporting

•   Communicate proactively with partners and triangulate information with other stakeholders like trainees, business/industries and community people;

•   Support to maintain good coordination in the field level;

•   Contribute to effective operation of database system at T&Es level as well as project level;

•   Support in compiling data for reporting purpose;

•   Support in generating success stories;

•   Assist the M&E officer on information requirements of the project.

Networking and Coordination

•   Coordinate with assigned T&Es;

•   Support Monitoring Officer and Regional team in timely submitting documents for skills testing;

•   Support in reaching and coordinating with resource organizations, outreach collaborators and other stakeholders;

•   Support in drawing lessons learnt from the activities of T&E service providers;

•   Coordinate and support for the implementation of activities under particular thematic area assigned by the project   and also coordinate with envelop wise focal persons for the implementation and monitoring of planned activities.

Required Education

Minimum  +  2  /  Intermediate  Level  in  Management, Commerce, Humanities, or related subject.

Minimum Professional Experience

Two years of working experience in a similar role.

Minimum Professional and Social Competencies

•   Driving skill (two wheelers) with valid driving license is preferred.

•   Result oriented personality/ maintaining deadlines

•   Responsiveness and alertness - a self-starter

•   Reliable, careful, honest and sincere work attitude

•   Good communication and interpersonal skill and good team player

•   Good in Nepali and English, both written and oral

•   Proficiency  in  using  office  application  software;  familiar  with  data  collection,  tabulation, analysis and reporting

•   Ready to travel in the field very frequently outside the duty station; both in terai and hills (including remote areas)

•   Commitment towards issues related to gender, social equality and poverty reduction

•  Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Additional Information

Duration: Till 15 July 2025 with the possibility of extension

Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulation of Helvetas Nepal.
