Job Description

Coach/Mentor: Capacity Building Specialist (Bhaktapur)
Internship purpose:Provide professional work exposure on skills and employment initiatives through workplace based learning, and online database system.

Learning Objectives
To have general understanding on workplace based training approach like; short courses with On-the-Job Training (OJT) and apprenticeship.
To understand ENSSURE’s capacity development strategy and its implementation methodology.
To be able to work on online-database system, maintain documentation and data recording by using the online tools.
To be able to manage and upgrade the roster of consultants, service providers and business/industry associations.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Compliance of Policies, Guidelines and Manuals
Ensure compliance of the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal’s policies, regulations, guidelines and manuals (Personnel, Financial and Administrative and other applicable policies, guidelines and manuals)

2. Capacity Building
Support respective officers in organizing various training events on capacity building of training providers’ staff
Assist the coach/mentor on recording the meeting minutes, follow up for further actions and draft concept notes for piloting new initiatives.
Assist in keeping up-to-date (gender, ethnicity etc.) record of capacity building participants/beneficiaries.
Prepare roster of trainers, training providers, consultant, association, key business/industry and related stakeholders.

3. Documentation  
Assist in verifying the record claimed by training providers and contractual parties in reference to the contract made with them.
Document all available curricula, manuals, reports, publications and documents.
Generates report for relevant officers from the online database.
Assist to provide updated curricula, manuals and training resources to regional offices.

4. Online database system
Check and provide reports to the Regional Coordinator and relevant officers of training providers, who have not uploaded required documents on the online system.
Generate the periodic report from database on various requirement formats.

Authority and limits:
Be proactive in learning and performing the aforementioned tasks in close consultation with the coach/mentor at ENSSURE;
Must seek prior consent from coach/mentor before delivering the ENSSURE documents to the stakeholders;
Complies to ENSSURE/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal policy manual and financial rules and guidelines.

Personal Specification/Job Requirements:
Minimum Education Attainment: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Rural Development, Management or any relevant discipline. No prior job experience required. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Additional Information

Proposed Stipend and Benefit: As per the rules and regulation of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal.
Duration: 1 year from the date of joining (with possibility of extension)
